More about the Gîte at Villa Magnieu

Nestled within 3 acres (1.2 hectares) of mature gardens, we have plenty of space to relax or play. Sunny & shaded seating & dining areas, 12m x 6m heated shared pool, table tennis, croquet, swing & slide, sand-pit, giant chess & BBQ. We also have a games room with darts, table football & a pool table.

The gîte is the fully restored west wing of Villa Magnieu. It is self-contained & provides flexible & comfortable accommodation for up to 7 guests in 4 bedrooms. It comprises of two self-catering gîtes; both are included for your holiday. They are fully equipped & have their own entrances & can be used as independent gîtes or interconnected.


Please note that due to steps & stairs the property is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.


Free WiFi is available throughout the living areas.

The 1st gîte comprises:

  • 2 double bedrooms 
  • 1 single bedroom 
  • Living area with comfortable armchairs, satelite TV & wood burning stove
  • Dining area 
  • Large terrace with teak table & chairs for alfresco dining
  • Well equipped kitchen with fridge-freezer, washing machine &  dishwasher

The 2nd gîte (both gîtes are included for your holiday) comprises:

  • 1 double bedroom 
  • Living area with small sofa & wood burning stove
  • Doors to private patio with teak table & chairs
  • Small dining table inside
  • Well equipped cuisinette with electric hob, fridge & ice compartment
  • Modern bathroom with walk-in shower
  • Bed linen & towels included


A cot is also available at no charge.

(both gîtes are included for your holiday)  Comfortable living area with direct access to gardens, pool & large terrace for alfresco dining.

A little history...

Villa Magnieu was built in the 17th century & extended in the 18th century to add a small chapel on the east side of the villa. This is now the kitchen of the main house.

 

The Villa was a Maison de Maître (or Master's House) for a large wine estate.

Aasa & David bought Villa Magnieu in 2012 & have completely restored & refurbished the gîtes. We look forward to telling you more!
