Where are we?

In the sunny south west of France, in rural Dordogne. With good road connections from Europe & the northern France ferry ports. Bordeaux airport is 1 hour drive away & Bergerac only 30 minutes. Mussidan railway station is a 15 minute walk.

Directions: From the centre of Mussidan head west (towards Bordeaux) directly through Mussidan town centre. Go over the railway level crossing & straight over the mini roundabout (local supermarkets are off to the right at this mini roundabout). Carry straight on for about 500m and Villa Magnieu is on the right. The entrance is on the D709E1 which passes through the centre of Mussidan. If you reach a larger roundabout with small pine trees in the centre you have passed the entrance about 100m before. 




If travelling by car from the west (from Bordeaux or Montpon for example) take the D6089 towards Mussidan. When reaching the roundabout with small pine trees in the centre (1 Km to the west of Mussidan town centre) head straight over (3rd exit). You will see the villa entrance on your left after 100m, if you pass any roads or other houses you have gone too far.

Bordeaux Airport (click for website)

  • Airlines include Aerlingus, Air France, British Airways, Easyjet, Etihad, Hop, KLM & Ryanair.
  • Car rental available. We recommend you book in advance.
  • Train connection to Mussidan from Bordeaux's main rail station Gare Bordeaux Saint Jean. There is a regular coach service from the airport to the railway station.
  • Taxi available from the airport. Please be aware that taxis at the airport taxi rank can be very expensive. The transport section of the airport's website lists a number of taxi companies which will give you a fixed price.

  • Airlines include BA, Ryanair, Jet2 & Transavia.
  • Car rental vailable. Please do book in advance.
  • Taxi available from the airport. We recommend you book in advance (+33 5 53 23 32 32) & ask for a fixed price.
