"This was our second visit to the Villa (enough said really) the owners are so friendly and on hand to make visit recommendations, make bookings and generally help out whenever they can. The villa is fantastic and being only 30 minutes from Bergerac is ideally located for trips to Bordeaux, St Emillion, Sarlat, Lascaux, Perigueux and very near to rivers for canoeing and other recreational activities such as beach/lake swimming."

The Gite has everything you could possibly want and is fully equipped just like home. Its also beautifully stylish and clean. The heated pool area was our favorite place to relax also, with lovely shaded areas to have lunch and stay cool during the heat of the day. This place is ideally located near to the supermarket and also the train station which we took full use of to get to Bordeaux and Bergerac for the day.".... "We had a wonderful stay. The house and garden were incredibly well equipped; the amazing pool with lilos, rings, hoops and water squirters, the garden with it's giant chess, pingpong, trampoline, swing, side, sand pit, and pool, table football in the games room meant we were never short of things to do. Aasa brought out even more toys and games for our young children which she thought they might enjoy. Everything we could think of was there. Aasa perfectly treads the line of being on hand, being friendly, welcoming and available and respecting our privacy. It was a real treat to spend time at Villa Magnieu."

"We have returned from our 3rd visit to Villa Magnieu and it was as wonderful as each of our previous visits. The gîtes are set up to make any stay extremely comfortable and the hosts are so helpful & friendly to ensure you have a wonderful holiday. Mussidan is a great spot to explore the southern Dordogne with extremely good road links to Bergerac, Perigueux and Bordeaux. We spent most of our week relaxing by the pool, it’s an extremely safe environment for young children and so many things to entertain them within the grounds. We certainly hope this won’t be our last visit. Thank you again for a brilliant stay!"

"Villa Magnieu is a true gem situated in the beautiful Dordogne countryside. Close enough to all of the major attractions, but with enough solitude to allow you to completely unwind and relax. The pool area is fantastic with a wonderful rustic, charming feel that helped us 'chill out' after a day of visiting nearby St. Emilion or Perigueux. We even had an outdoor family 'movie night', which our kids loved. Perfect for either families or just adults, we thoroughly recommend this location and the owners Aasa and David were extremely attentive and welcoming."

"We have just returned from our lovely holiday in Mussidan and what a great time we have had staying at Villa Magnieu. Aasa, David & Louis were perfect hosts and the gîte was in beautiful condition with everything you could possibly need there. The little touches were also so lovely, the fresh eggs left on the doorstep from the chickens who roam around in the lovely grounds and the fresh home grown tomatoes. Also the wonderful honey we had from the bees that are also on the grounds. Aasa, while conscious about our privacy was there if we needed anything and checked on us throughout the holiday to make sure we were ok."

"Nous avons passé un séjour absolument parfait chez Aasa et David qui sont des hôtes des plus généreux, sympathiques et sérieux. La maison, le parc, la piscine sont sublimes et parfaitement entretenus. Tout a été pensé, équipé et rénové avec beaucoup de goût, de respect de l’environnement et dans l’optique de faire plaisir aux clients. Nous avons été plus qu’agréablement surpris à tous les titres, la réalité dépasse largement l’annonce qui nous faisait déjà rêver ! Nous reviendrons avec un immense plaisir et recommandons la villa Magnieu les yeux fermés pour un séjour entre amis ou en famille!"

"A peine arrivés, nous étions conquis par les lieux. Un accueil charmant des propriétaires, attentionnés mais qui savent aussi se faire discrets. Le jardin est fantastique, tant la piscine que les espaces verts qui sont bien entretenus. De nombreuses activités sont mises à disposition pour les petits comme les grands..."

"Fantastiskt ställe med mycket utrymme, helt idyllisk gård med fina växter och blommor. Perfekt med plats att njuta i solen och vid poolen, full utrustning att grilla och äta utomhus, mycket spel och aktiviteter. Vi var sju personer, inga barn, hyrde både gite 1 & 2 och det fanns precis allting man behövde. Värdparet oerhört trevliga! Besöker gärna igen och kan varmt rekommendera!"

"We have just spent the most wonderful week in the Dordogne. Our accommodation was spotlessly clean and really felt like a home from home. We went with friends and having 2 gîtes included in the rental worked really well for us. We spent many hours in the fabulous pool and just soaking up the sunshine. There are also lots of options to hide away in the shade if needed. If you are looking for a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings with plenty of things to keep the kids happy then Villa Magnieu definitely gets five stars plus."

"Wij genieten nog na van ons verblijf in Villa Magnieu. Het domein is prachtig! Mooi onderhouden en vanalles te doen voor de kinderen (levensgroot schaakbord, boomhut, schommel, glijbaan, pingpong, tafeltennis, speelgoed,..). Het zwembad met patio is heerlijk om te verblijven. Er is vanalles te beleven op korte afstand zowel cultureel, gastronomisch als recreatief. De gîtes zijn heel proper en goed onderhouden. Je vindt er alles wat je nodig hebt. Aasa en David zijn supervriendelijk, hulpvaardig en respecteren je privacy. Een plek om naar terug te komen."

"Idyllic surroundings and lovely hosts. We couldn't have asked for any more than that. We loved Perigueux, St Astier and our great duck meal in the heart of the local community on the Wednesday evening. The gite, pool and garden are beautiful. The garden and pool in an attempt to describe them are almost beyond words. Imagine a huge garden, a giant chess board, a tree house, large pool, banana trees, grape vines, a fantastic terrace and amazing sunsets - and you have it. Our children did not want to leave, and to be frank, neither did we. 10 out of 10!"

"We had the pleasure of spending our family holiday at Villa Magnieu. The hosts looked after our every need and were very friendly. The gitè itself was just what you would want from a French gitè, set in gorgeous grounds with lots for the children to do, sandpit, slide & table tennis. The heated pool was lovely with the beautiful gardens surrounding it. Highly recommend. We will be back next year."
